Lando Norris took his fifth win of the season at the Hungaroring, holding off a fierce late challenge from his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri. The race began with Charles Leclerc holding his pole position, but Norris had a scrappy start, dropping to P5. McLaren split their strategies, with Norris extending his first stint and gambling on a one-stop. The strategy paid off, and despite Piastri emerging with fresher tires and closing the gap in the final laps, a lock-up by the Australian on a late lunge for the lead handed Norris the victory
